Community
Community is something we value strongly at Off the Streets. We want the local community to not see us as a burden but as something they can look upon and feel pride that we are part of the community. My nan used to drill into me – `the sign of a strong community is how well they look after the weakest within`.
We will therefore be doing daily litter picks around our the area and also looking to help in other ways. If you have an idea as to what jobs you would like to see in the area then please email shelter@offthestreetsessex.org.uk

Fundraising ideas
Want to organise your own fundraising event? Here are some of our favourite ideas:
- Organise a film night and charge for tickets and popcorn
- Invite your friends round for a slap up meal and ask them to donate the cost of a dinner at a restaurant
- Set yourself a walking challenge or give up something for a month and ask for sponsors
